🌍 IP Geolocation

Pinpoint-accurate location data

Using an ip-api-first architecture with intelligent fallback racing, Nexus Radar resolves the real-world location of every peer — Country, City, Region, ISP, and GPS coordinates — with 95%+ accuracy on IPv4 and 90%+ on IPv6.

  • Primary provider with exclusive 3-second window
  • 4-provider fallback with quality gate
  • Persistent local cache for instant repeat lookups
  • Google Maps one-click redirection (Premium)
VPN IP 104.244.42.1
Real IP 73.140.12.34
🛡️ VPN & WebRTC Leak Detection

See through VPN shields

When a peer's VPN leaks their real IP through WebRTC's ICE candidate exchange, Nexus Radar catches both addresses. It geo-looks up every captured IP and cross-references proxy flags to expose the true location behind the tunnel.

  • Detects proxy, hosting, and mobile network flags
  • WebRTC leak exposes real city, country, and ISP
  • High-visibility alert with flashing UI indicator
  • Automatic confidence-weighted IP selection

📡 Device & Browser Fingerprinting

7-signal detection engine

A priority-chained scoring system analyzes WebSocket metadata, video resolution, SDP codec fingerprints, Safari identification, RTT latency, and cellular IP flags to determine exactly what device and browser the stranger is using.

  • SDP fingerprint scoring with 15+ signals
  • Portrait video detection = mobile (99% confidence)
  • Firefox version extraction from SDPARTA line
  • Safari iOS vs macOS codec differentiation

🛡️ Encounter Trust Score

Risk assessment in real time

Every connection receives a 0–100 Trust Score computed from VPN flags, hosting detection, timezone mismatches, device anomalies, and connection quality. High-risk encounters trigger dual-beep audio alerts and native Chrome notifications.

  • 80–100: Clean residential connections
  • 50–79: Timezone or device anomalies flagged
  • 0–49: Active VPN, hosting IP, or major red flags
  • Block, Flag, or Save peers for future encounters

Technology

Privacy-First Architecture

Nexus Radar uses secure local parsing methods that run 100% inside your browser session, keeping your network data entirely confidential.

01

Local Connection Isolation

All connection signals are parsed directly inside your local browser memory space. The extension isolates network packets on-the-fly, preventing third-party websites or malicious scripts from snooping on your active sessions.

Secure Isolation Local Processing
02

Zero-Knowledge Geolocation Resolution

When resolving IP origins, queries are anonymized to ensure your own identity, location, and account credentials are never exposed or transmitted to external geolocation providers.

Anonymized Routing Privacy Gates
03

Local Secure Encrypted Cache

History and resolved connections are saved using the browser's local sandbox storage, protected by system-level encryption. The developer and third parties have zero visibility into your data.

Local-First Processing

All detection, fingerprinting, and analysis happens entirely inside your browser sandbox. No central database, no account registration, no tracking.

🚫

No Personal Data Collected

We never access your IP, browsing history, audio, video, or text streams. Only the peer's publicly-exchanged network metadata is processed.

💾

Your Data Stays Yours

History is stored locally via Chrome's secure storage API. No cloud sync. Export, import, or delete your data at any time — uninstalling wipes everything.

🔐

Secure Local Verification

License validation runs local-first within the extension environment using a cryptographic signature gate. We never access your payment details or personal profiles.

No Data Sales

We do not sell, transfer, or use your data for purposes unrelated to the extension. No creditworthiness, no lending, no third-party sharing.

🧹

Granular Data Deletion

Surgically clear history by time range — 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or everything — from the Settings tab at any time.

Questions

Frequently asked

How does Nexus Radar detect the peer's location?

During a peer-to-peer video chat, browsers exchange ICE candidates and SDP descriptions through WebRTC — these contain the peer's public IP address. Nexus Radar intercepts these standard browser APIs and resolves the IP through geolocation providers (ip-api.com as primary, with 3 fallback providers) to determine the peer's city, country, region, ISP, and GPS coordinates.

Does this extension access my camera, microphone, or chats?

No. Nexus Radar only processes network metadata (IP addresses, SDP fingerprints, and WebSocket signaling data). It never accesses, records, or stores any audio, video, or text content from your conversations.

What happens when I reach the daily free limit?

Free users can perform up to 20 geolocation lookups per day. Cached results (previously resolved peers) don't count against this limit. When the cap is reached, a warning banner appears on the floating panel. The counter resets at midnight. Upgrading to Premium or Ultimate removes the limit entirely.

How is my license validated?

Your license key is verified local-first inside the extension to maximize privacy. An automatic offline grace period ensures that even if you lose network access temporarily, your premium features continue to function seamlessly.

Is my data sent to any server?

Only anonymous geolocation queries containing the peer's public IP address (never yours) are sent to geolocation lookup gateways. Verification checks are fully sandboxed and contain only the license key itself. No personal telemetry, video/audio packets, or browsing habits are ever transmitted.

Can I use Nexus Radar on multiple devices?

Yes. Your license key allows activation across your personal devices. Devices can be authorized directly inside the extension interface, giving you complete flexibility to transfer your premium settings anywhere.

What does the Trust Score measure?

The Trust Score (0–100) aggregates multiple risk signals: VPN/proxy detection (−40 pts), hosting/datacenter IP (−30 pts), timezone mismatch (−20 pts), unknown device (−10 pts), high latency or packet loss (−10 pts), and returning peer bonus (+10 pts). Scores below 50 trigger audio alerts and desktop notifications.
